Is it "volunteering" or is it "slavery" or something else?
by Scully inthe wts depends almost exclusively on a volunteer labor force.
its members volunteer their time, goods and services for the benefit and financial gain of the wts.
the "carrot" that drives this volunteerism is god's favour, and ostensibly the further recruitment of new volunteers who will also use their time, goods and services for the benefit and financial gain of the wts.. however, when the "carrot" turns out to be part of a con, and turns out to be completely false (as it often does in areas where human traffickers use the promise of "a better life" or "a better future" to recruit people) it is referred to as slavery.. people willingly sign up for what turns out to be slave labour, and often sign their children up for what turns out to be slave labour, on the false promise of bettering themselves.. now i know that bethelitestm, missionariestm and special pioneerstm receive a very modest monthly stipend that doesn't even cover personal care supplies, much less provide for clothing, transportation, etc., and that these folks rely heavily on the generosity of brotherstm and sisterstm.

Religious Experience and Personality Change..an Experience from the Unconscious
by frankiespeakin ini have been at the university library the past few month reading books about carl jung.
i think he has some interesting things about the unconscious,,as well consciousness.. i been reading that the unconsciousness has the ability to form this new personality and then hatch it on the ego consciousness by means of an religious experience,, or perhaps we can say mystical experience , but the problem is that if the original ego consciousness was very one sided there is a tendency is for the new personality to be too one sided in the opposite way.. one of the chief problems for the human species as i see it is that the evolution of the human consciousness has cause a very drastic change in in our life style in such a short period of time just look at the last 2 or 3 hundred years and this accelerated change this has cause the majority of us to deviate the from the "way of the blood",, or from the way our genetic code would work the best for us both mentally and physically,, this deviation is the reason for a neuroses,, or even worse a psychosis.. but jung and others who think like him say that a neuroses is actually a very good thing as it is natural process that works to restore balance in the psyche.
sometimes in healing his patients from a neuroses he would only go as far as the personal unconscious find the problem with the patient and they were cured other times he had to go deeper and into the collective unconscious to get at the problem.. many patient came to even after they had been cure and wanted to go deeper to find whatever.

Biocentrism - Revolutionary theory of looking at existence/reality
by TastingFreedom ini have been reading a book for some time that i find fascinating.
the book is biocentrism, how life and consciousness are the keys to understanding the true nature of the universe by robert lanza.. .
it proposes a theory that is certainly different than how we look at the world.. basically our reality is only a perception that is not absolute but only relative to our life and existence in this particular coordinates of the universe, meaning that our senses perceive space and time only in relationship to our relative existence.

British Sociologist Predicts Possible Collapse in Jehovah's Witness Numbers
by slimboyfat ina newly published article by british sociologist david voas argues jehovah's witnesses may be about to experience a collapse in numbers.
contrary to claims by american sociologist rodney stark who predicts strong future growth for jehovah's witnesses, voas shows that jehovah's witnesses' efforts at recruiting new members have become increasingly unsuccessful over the past few decades: the rate of increase has steadily declined, and the number of hours each publisher must preach to produce an extra convert has gone up substantially.
voas suggests a reason for the stagnation may be that there is a natural limit to the number of people in a given population that are susceptible to conversion to sectarian groups like jehovah's witnesses - the 'carrying capacity' of the population, and that the limit has largely been reached.
